Above all this is the Brocken, the highest mountain in northern Germany. Around Quedlinburg there are countless possibilities to make your holiday varied and unforgettable.
Romanesque Road
The Romanesque Road is one of the most famous tourist routes in Germany. Over a total length of more than 1,000 kilometres, it connects 88 Romanesque buildings (dome, churches, monasteries and castles) in 73 towns in Saxony-Anhalt. Similar to the shape of an eight, the Romanesque Road is divided into a north and south route, with the state capital Magdeburg forming the centre. There are four buildings in Quedlinburg.
Garden dreams
The network “Gartenträume – Historische Parks in Sachsen-Anhalt“ („Garden dreams – Historic Parks in Saxony-Anhalt“) brings together the 50 most beautiful parks and gardens in our state. Nordic-Walking
For Nordic Walking lovers, there are numerous opportunities to be active in and around Quedlinburg. The district Gernrode has the best-developed network. From the Haferfeld car park, which is already located in the Harz, four well-signposted trails of varying length start, from two kilometers, over 5. 2 km and 11. 3 km to the big round with a good 14 km. The trails are in a very good condition, connecting flat routes with ascents and descents. The nature is very varied with beautiful views of Gernrode, but also the idyllic New Pond. The highlight in the truest sense is the Viktorshöhe with over 500 meters of altitude (long tour).
