GutsMuths-Gymnasium

Johann Christoph Friedrich GutsMuths (* 9th of August 1759 in Quedlinburg; 21st of May 1839) was a well-known German pedagogue and is regarded as a co-founder of gymnastics. In addition to a monument and an exhibition dedicated to him in the Klopstockhaus, he is also the namesake of the local grammar school.
