With 140.4 km, the Harz narrow-gauge railways have the most comprehensive network with a track width of 1,000 mm. Since 2006, Quedlinburg has been connected to the Selketalbahn network. Through the districts of Bad Suderode and Gernrode, the route leads via Alexisbad and Stiege to the Eisfelder Talmühle and has direct connection to the Harzquerbahn. Railroad enthusiasts have the opportunity to drive directly from Quedlinburg to North Germany’s highest mountain, the Brocken (1,142 m).

Tickets for the entire route network (Selketal, Harzquerbahn and Brockenbahn) as well as various special tickets are available at the Quedlinburg Tourist Information.

Up-to-date information on travel times, events and special rides can be found on the website of the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen.
