Our World Heritage is making itself beautiful for you!

Extensive renovation and construction work is currently well underway on the buildings of the former women’s convent. Visitors will soon be able to enjoy a completely redesigned museum tour through the impressive ensemble of the Collegiate Church, cathedral treasury as well as living and representation rooms.

During the construction period, the castle museum is not open, but the ascent to the castle hill is still worthwhile. The Collegiate Church of St. Servatii, with its important cathedral treasury and the tomb of King Henry I in the Romanesque crypt, can be visited. A walk through the monastery gardens on the mountain plateau offers an enchanting view over the historic half-timbered town Quedlinburg.

Accessibility

Currently, the castle hill is only accessible via the Pastor’s staircase (66 steps). For visitors with small children, we recommend a stretcher instead of a pram.
