Mitteldeutsches Eisenbahn- und Spielzeugmuseum
The centerpiece of the museum is a historical model railway collection in I gauge, 0 gauge, S gauge, TT gauge, and H0 gauge. Particularly attractive is a display room that looks like a railway collector's room. The upper floor displays toys from the operator's collection, including a large doll collection with many rarities, dollhouses, games, children's books, farms, etc. The museum displays more than 5,000 exhibits in an area of over 500 m².
Railway (approx. 2,800 objects):
The model railway exhibition originates from the Jürgens collection in Quedlinburg. It can be described as one of the most beautiful and diverse in the German-speaking world. Early floor runners, high-quality tracks, stations, lamps, and other accessories from all companies, especially Märklin, are on display. In addition, there are many foreign manufacturers, and as a curiosity, the only Russian model railroad with a large gauge and a bulky transformer can be seen. Five model railroad layouts with different gauges run at the touch of a button by visitors.
